BREAKING: iPhone 5S And iPhone 5C Coming On September 20

For the first time, Apple is launching two new iPhones. At the iPhone event in Cupertino, California earlier today Apple announced its latest smartphones confirming the long-standing rumors surrounding the event. The two iPhones will be called iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C and will be available for purchase on September 20 (iPhone 5C preorders start September 13).

Most of the rumors have been confirmed. The cheaper iPhone 5C has a glossy plastic body and comes in five different colors. The flagship  iPhone 5S comes in three colors and has a new A7 processor, improved camera and a fingerprint sensor.

I like the fingerprint sensor feature added to the iPhone 5S. Apple is calling it "Touch ID". Now you'll be able to unlock your iPhone without having to type in the passcode. This is especially helpful when connected to the AppRadio for instance. No more trying to find the right keys to press. Now you can keep those eyes on the road and unlock the phone by just touching the home button. Safety first!

The new iPhones will ship with iOS 7. Apple's latest mobile operating system will be available for download on September 18. It will be compatible with the iPhone 4 and later, iPad 2 and later, iPad mini and 5th generation iPod Touch.

There are over 200 new features in iOS 7 which is dubbed as being the biggest change to iOS since the first iPhone. The interface has completely been overhauled. It will be interesting to see how this will work with current AppRadio mode enabled devices. Beta versions haven't had any issues with AppRadio compatibility.

iTunes Radio is also a new feature in iOS 7. With iTunes Radio you'll be able to create custom music streaming station based on genre, artist or song. It will be direct competition for services like Pandora, Spotify, Rdio etc. Ad-free music streaming will be included with an iTunes Match subscription.

The iPhone 5 has been discontinued and replaced by the iPhone 5S and 5C.
