CarPlay is coming to a variety of vehicles later this year. Among the early adopters is Mercedes-Benz. Their 2015 line of cars will come equipped with Apple's latest technology.
But Mercedes-Benz infotainment systems do not include touch screen functionality "for safety reasons." Which means CarPlay will be controlled using their wheel and jog in the center console. Here's a short demo video from Macworld...
Whether using a jog is less distracting than using a touchscreen remains to be seen.
