Pioneer Adds 16 More Android Phones To AppRadio Mode Compatibility List

In a media release today, Pioneer Electronics has announced it has updated its list of AppRadio Mode compatible smartphones. 16 additional Android smartphones have been added.

AppRadio Mode products included the newly launched AppRadio 3 (SPH-DA210 and SPH-DA110), AppRadio 2, AVH-X8500BHS, AVIC-X950BH and AVIC-Z150BH among others.

The updated list of phones and corresponding connection kit information is included below.

Android smartphones need Pioneer's CD-AH200C Android Connection Kit which is sold separately. Additionally, Samsung phones like the Galaxy Note II, Galaxy S3 and Galaxy S4 will need the original Samsung Connector (EPL-3FHUBEGSTD).

The list below from Pioneer also shows the Android OS version and connection kit information. Devices in green are the newly added ones whereas the ones in black indicate previously compatible models with updated OS information. Newly added phones include HTC ONE, Motorola Droid Razr Maxx HD and Sony Experia Z among others.

The full list is available on Pioneer's website. Over 40 Android smartphones are now compatible with AppRadio Mode.

  1. I'm waiting Navigon compatible with app radio. If they add this app and app mode is compatible via BT, I will buy app radio 3.

  2. yes exatly that would be nice ,,,,! but i think that, it is navigon themself that should make their app compatible not.. pioneer

  3. I noticed that the razr Maxx and razr hd have an os of 4.1.2, and I have the regular razr but it also has the 4.1.2 os, would it still be compatible even though it's not the Maxx or hd?

  4. These days mobile is something that you cannot live without, I mean to say it is very required. Android change the all over market of mobile industry. When it launches nobody have idea that it popular that much. If we focus on the graphs it shows almost all the market is being covered by the android.
