Pandora Does Away With 40-Hour-Per-Month Limit On Free Mobile Streaming [News]

In what appears to be a move to prepare for the launch of iTunes Radio, the online music streaming service Pandora Internet Radio, has lifted a restriction that limits the streaming of free music to 40 hours per month for mobile users. Apple is scheduled to launch their own service, iTunes Radio, sometime next month.

iTunes Radio is tipped to become the biggest competitor to Pandora. It is described as working similar to Pandora giving users the ability to create and listen to music stations based on song, artist or genre.

Apple will hold their next generation iPhone even on September 10. Their next installment of the mobile operating system, iOS 7, will probably be made available to download when the next generation iPhone gets launched.

iTunes Radio will have ads in the free version. Companies like McDonalds, Nissan, Pepsi and Procter & Gamble will partner with Apple and run those ads on iTunes Radio. There will also be a paid version of iTunes Radio which will be included with a $25 per year subscription of iTunes Match.
