iOS 7.0.4 was released a few days ago and since then I've received a few questions asking whether it fixes the annoying screen resizing issue with the AppRadio. The answer is NO, it does not.
The screen resolution still resizes to a smaller size. I have tested this with my iPhone 5 running iOS 7.0.4 and AppRadio 3 (SPH-DA210). If anyone would like to add to this then please leave a comment below. But as of now the resizing issue still exists! Sorry folks!

Nonetheless, with regards to the AppRadio, it is safe to update your iPhone to iOS 7.0.4 as it doesn't worsen the issue.

I do not believe this is an issue of the iOS, seems to be more of an issue with the AppRadio app not being abel to handle incoming notifications that happen on the iPhone. In my tests, the only time my screen resizes is when I get a notification from email similar.
ReplyDeleteAgain for the rest of us it has nothing to do with notifications and it has been determined to be an older video overscan protocol from within iOS. If it only happens to you when you get a notification then consider yourself lucky because for many of us it is more widespread.
ReplyDeleteIn my last test, I have turned all push notifications off, and have yet to see the issue return. If I turn them back on, then it starts happening again with every push notification I get.
ReplyDeletePioneer needs to fix this. It is really annoying and it happens very often. In my opinion the AppRadio is great, but if Pioneer does not fix this soon I will think twice about buying a radio from Pioneer again. Greetings from Mexico.

ReplyDeleteHi , I really found the fix, i am chilean , sorry my english is not yet very good, when i close all the apps open in my iphone 5 via double push home button and deactivate "background updates" in iphone settings , waze never resizes again, probe it!
ReplyDeleteI tried this and it really worked man! Thanks a lot! Another guy mentioned this in an earlier post, but I didn't realize that to close the apps running, you have to drag them to the top so they will be closed. I had like 20 apps running.
