Apple Developer Center Security Breach May Delay iOS 7 [Opinion]

Everything you need to develop an app for iOS is at Apple's Developer Center. A recent security break has forced Apple to take down the website in order to fix the issues and restore compromised developer accounts. The site has been down for almost a week now causing great confusion and inconvenience to a lot of developers around the world.

It is not possible to log in to developer accounts at the moment, instead the above status message pops up. Apple had announced iOS 7 earlier this year with a promise to release the new software sometime this coming Fall. Beta versions of iOS 7 have been released on-schedule up until the breach occurred.

With this prolonged delay in getting things up and running again, one wonders how far the dominoes will tumble. With every passing day, I think, iOS 7 release gets delayed even further. And with it, so does the release of Apple's latest OSX Mavericks.

As far as the AppRadio goes, iOS 7 is bound to bring changes to the AppRadio interface. Although beta versions of iOS 7 seem to work without too many issues with current AppRadio software, it will be interesting to see how the final release of Apple's new operating system does. Also, a delay in iOS 7 means the jailbreak community will have to wait longer for a working jailbreak to become available. The dominoes might well keep falling for a while!
