The recently released TaiG untethered jailbreak for iOS 8.1.2 has received the thumbs up across the board. If you like jailbreaking your iDevice, you should check out TaiG.

I jailbroke my iPhone 6 yesterday using the TaiG tool and I am happy to report that CarPlay works without any new issues. The screenshot posted above shows the CarPlay interface from my jailbroken iPhone 6 and Pioneer AppRadio 4. Notice the yellow colored 'Messages' app icon (using Winterboard and Messages Colors Icons).
Last week I posted about CarPlay iOS, a jailbreak tweak that aims to bring the CarPlay interface to your iPhone. This would give users who don't own CarPlay-enabled head units or cars, a way to use Apple's software in their dashboard (by mounting their phones). The CarPlay interface is made for the car, with large icons. But CarPlay iOS is far from being ready for primetime.
I haven't come across any other CarPlay tweaks in the jailbroken universe yet. But I will report back if I find anything. Since the icon color change worked, I think I should be able to change the font in CarPlay by changing the system font on my iPhone. Stay tuned.
