When it comes to packaging, Alpine Electronics may win over Pioneer. Their latest CarPlay-enabled head unit, the iLX-007, comes packaged in a fancy looking box that could easily pass for an Apple product.
The device is competition for Pioneer's AppRadio 4 (SPH-DA120) and AVH-4000NEX, both of which offer more features at a lower price. But the iLX-007 has a few nice features of it's own too.
Above all, it features a very small form factor for a double-din head unit, which will be useful for certain car owners that don't have a lot of depth in their dashboards.
