How To: Unresponsive Home Button? Try This!

I was playing around with my AppRadio 2 earlier today and I stumbled upon a neat little trick. Many of us have encountered an unresponsive home button while using the device. Most of the time this happens while switching apps or trying to exit from a blank screen. Well, this trick I found works only for AppRadio 2 and with an iPhone. Here's what you do.

When you find yourself tapping away at the home button and nothing happens, just click on the 'Menu' or 'Back' button on the AppRadio 2 (those are the two physical buttons to the right on the button bar - see picture below). Pressing either one of these brings up a warning with a black background which basically says that these buttons can't be used with an iPhone connected but only with Android. While this warning is up pressing the home button should bring you back to the AppRadio 2's home screen.

If you use an Android phone this method may not work. And since the first generation AppRadio doesn't have those physical buttons it won't work with that device either.

Hope this helps those of you who, like me, get frustrated when the home button stops responding. This is only a temporary work around for having to disconnect your phone and reconnect it or having to quit the app manually on the iPhone for anything to happen. Hopefully Pioneer will address this issue (and the many more that exist) soon.
