Extra Mile: The latest addition to the AppRadio

I took the newest AppRadio compatible app, Extra Mile, for a spin yesterday morning. It is quite beautiful and useful. The app basically lets you log your driving habits. It features an easy-to-use mileage tracker, gas expense logger, driving habit analyzer and even free voice-guided navigation. I used the navigation today and I must say, it's impressive. The maps are very
responsive to touch commands. Even more responsive than MotionX and INRIX Traffic.

The dashboard page on the AppRadio gives a lot of information while driving. Live-updating traffic alerts, gas expense and local weather information. It even tells you if you are accelerating too quickly. The UI is sleek. There is a calendar with logs for day to day data but this can't be accessed when connected to the AppRadio. It can only be viewed on the iPhone. The log is simple and easy to comprehend. No rocket science. The app does however require you to enter your car's fuel economy and the price of gas for accurate information.
