Apple Continues Scooping Up Car Engineers, This Time From Tesla Motors

Apple has been hiring car experts for its automated/electric car project for quite some time now. And just recently they picked up a senior engineer from Tesla Motors, according to a LinkedIn posting revealed by Reuters.

Jamie Carlson, a car engineer who worked at Tesla, joins at least six other engineers according to their LinkedIn profiles, and will work on Apple's Project Titan. All engineers have experience working on self-driving car technology which could mean Project Titan might involve development of an autonomous car.

According to the news report from Reuters, since January, Apple has hired Megan McClain, a former Volkswagen AG engineer with expertise in automate driving, and Vinay Palakkode, a graduate researcher at Carnegie Mellon University, a hub of automated driving research.

Apple has also hired Xianqiao Tong, an engineer who worked at Nvidia Corporation and developed computer vision software for driver assistance systems. The other engineers working at Apple on the car project are Sanjai Massey who worked at Ford, Stefan Weber formerly of Robert Bosch GmbH, and Lech Szumilas formerly of Delphi.
