Tesla's next operating system update version 6.0 will add one major feature: the ability to start your Model S from your iPhone. Details were uncovered by 9to5Mac which also show an Android app in the works among other things.

Traffic-based navigation with commute advice is the other major upgrade in version 6.0. Remote start from your iPhone app will be useful in case you forget your keyfob. It is likely that the app will use Touch ID for authentication. The Android app will be available in a few weeks.
Software update version 6.0 will most likely be available this Fall.
