Rdio Coming To The UK And Rest Of Europe Soon

Rdio is coming to Europe
The music streaming app Rdio, which is also AppRadio compatible, is coming to all European countries in a few months. The paid subscription service is trying to compete with other such services like Spotify but for AppRadio users this is the only such option because Spotify and the others are not AppRadio compatible. Rdio is already available in the United States, Canada, Germany, Brazil, Portugal, Spain, Australia, New Zealand and Denmark.

I Still Love MIXTRAX But...

Pioneer's MIXTRAX is a pretty good virtual DJ
I have written about how awesome Pioneer's MIXTRAX app for the iPhone is. It is a virtual DJ that does a fine job with the music in your 'Music' app. Everything is done on the fly, there are great transitions between songs and the genius-like mixes are quite spot on. But I have one major gripe with it.

Pioneer's CarMediaPlayer App Looks To End iPod Control Woes On AppRadio

CarMediaPlayer is the latest AppRadio compatible app
Ever since AppRadio was launched one issue has continued to plague it. The stock iPod app interface is quite terrible on it. There is no swipe or drag to scroll. There are these annoying arrows that have to be clicked to navigate through song lists or menus. Almost everyone's been screaming for an improved interface since June of last year. Pioneer seems to have finally listened to the gripes and provided a solution.

Now, it's not exactly what you think. There is no firmware update to fix the interface. Instead there is CarMediaPlayer (YouTube video and more screenshots below); a new app from Pioneer Corporation itself. Read on to find out what it's all about.
