It's Official: Apple To Hold iPhone Event On September 9

As rumor had it, Apple has officially sent out invites for their upcoming iPhone event which will be held on September 9 at 10 a.m. Pacific Time. This year's event won't be held at the usual Yerba Buena Center in San Francisco though.

Apple has picked The Flint Center for the Performing Arts in Cupertino, California to host their event. The venue is near its headquarters in Silicon Valley. It holds more than thrice as many people as the Yerba Buena Center does. The latest rumor says that Apple is having a 'huge' stage built for the event.

The theme line for the event reads 'Wish we could say more' which is open for interpretation and could hold cryptic information on what to expect at the event.

Two new iPhones are believed to be in the making: a 4.7-inch and a 5.5-inch model. It is likely that Apple will only announce the 4.7-inch version next month, while the larger model will be announced at a later date. Other likely products include an 8GB iPhone 5S to replace the iPhone 5C and the longtime-rumored iWatch.

Although we are hoping for more information on CarPlay at the event, it looks like the software feature has faced a lot of issues which has delayed its arrival. Hopefully we will get some real answers from the horse's mouth on September 9.

No information is currently available on whether the event will be streamed live at Apple.com or on Apple TV.
