iPhone 6 Event To Be Held On September 9 By Apple [Report]

Are you ready to hear about the new iPhone 6? I'm not talking rumors about the device(s). According to a report from Recode, Apple is planning on officially announcing its next generation iPhone on September 9.

That's only about a month away! Check out these few additional iPhone rumors...

Recode has had accurate information on Apple events in the past. Even though most rumors pointed to an October date, Recode says Apple has set its sights on September 9.

What to expect?

Most rumors speculate two new iPhones to be announced this time: a 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch version. The last time Apple announced two new iPhones on the same day, were the iPhone 5S and 5C.

A September announcement means the new products will go on sale sometime in October (maybe towards the end of October or even early November). The launch date will coincide with the release of iOS 8, Apple's next generation mobile operating system. iOS 8 was already showcased a couple of months ago at WWDC 14.

Hopefully by then, users will be swimming in CarPlay. The most awaited firmware update that enables CarPlay for its NEX receivers from Pioneer is set to arrive anytime now. Reports suggest that Apple is holding Pioneer back from releasing the update.

Are you excited about the new iPhone? Let us know in the comments below.
