Spotify is one of the major music streaming service providers at the moment. Just today they sweetened their Premium service for college students by offering 50% discounts for up to four years.
In today's announcement, Spotify said it will cut the price of its Premium service from $9.99 a month to $4.99 a month for college students. This makes it a very good deal for college-goers as competing services do not offer such discounts.
Spotify Premium gives you offline and online access to millions of songs without any advertisements. You can skip through tracks without any limitations too. It's almost like owning the entire music library.
Existing Premium subscribers will have to update their college information to avail of the discount. Discounts will reflect on next month's bill. New subscribers can do so by verifying your name, date of birth and college info via the Spotify website.
None of the Spotify apps (iOS or Android) are currently AppRadio compatible but you can still enjoy the service via EC Touch for AppRadio. EC Touch gives you full touch control of your Spotify stream.
