Spotify Comes To AppRadio Via EC Touch, TuneIn Drops Support

EC Touch for AppRadio (iOS only) just keeps getting better! There are quite a few new things happening with the app these last few days, most of them good. The best improvements of them all is Spotify integration.

The latest version of EC Touch for AppRadio, version 3.0.5, adds the following changes...

1. Spotify:

Spotify is a subscription-based music streaming service available across various platforms. The Spotify app itself isn't AppRadio compatible but you can stream music from your Spotify account via EC Touch.

Subscription costs for the service are similar to other services like Rdio or Mog. Spotify Radio is free to listen with Ads on your desktop or laptop. Ad-free unlimited listening on your desktop or laptop will cost you $4.99/month, while a Premium subscription which includes streaming from all your devices including smartphones and tables will run you $9.99/month.

You can also sign up for a free trial. You can get a 48-hour free trial of Spotify when you sign up from your smartphone app. There is also a 30-day free trial available for Premium subscribers. You can cancel anytime before the 30 days are up and you won't be charged. There are no contracts or commitments, cancel anytime you like even after your subscription begins.

2. TuneIn Update:

The other big change in the latest EC Touch update is TuneIn Radio. As EC Touch explained it...

TuneIn has left EC Touch. Everyone who has purchased TuneIn In-App feature shouldn't delete EC Touch because you will still have access to all features, past and future for free.

They also announced a couple of weeks back that...

From November 8, TuneIn service may be suspended by the same company because of the limited number of users. At this time we are trying to do everything possible to keep the service active. For the moment the In-App purchase package is suspended from the sale.

So you may still be able to use TuneIn through EC Touch. Things may change in the future though.

3. Vocal Assistant:

For iOS 7 users only there is a vocal assistant available in EC Touch called 'ECSpeecher'. The assistant simply gives voice alerts on warning messages within the app. For now the feature is limited but this may be enhanced later.

4. More Colors:

Now you can choose any color from the entire spectrum for your EC Touch theme. Previously only four color themes were available.

You can download the latest version of EC Touch for AppRadio from the App Store today.

  1. Can someone who updated to EC Touch 3.0.5 confirm if TuneIn Radio is still active or not?

The statement they released "TuneIn has left EC Touch. Everyone who has purchased TuneIn In-App feature shouldn't delete EC Touch because you will still have access to all features, past and future for free."
By "past" features are they also referring to TuneIn....?

  2. TuneIn turns off on 8th of November, so "past" is referred to all features already included into the app.
    One of developers.
