Honda To Launch New In-Car Smartphone Connectivity System On December 3

Earlier this week, we posted about improved "iOS in the Car" coming soon in the 2014 Honda Civic, according to a report on 9to5Mac. According to the report, a source close to Honda had suggested "more than just simple mirroring" with their next generation in-vehicle connectivity system.

We've now learned that Honda will hold a Google Hangout Event to announce this new and improved in-car smartphone integration system.

According to Honda's Google+ page, the event will be held on December 3 at 10 AM PST. Viewers will be able to join the live event from there. The launch will be hosted by Jon Rettinger, editor-in-chief of the popular tech blog, TechnoBuffalo.

It will be interesting to see if this has anything to do with "iOS in the Car" which Apple announced earlier this year or whether it is just Siri Eyes Free with a few extra features. If this next-generation technology allows any kind of iOS mirroring with touch controls it will be pretty cool. iOS integration in the car has endless potential.
